Pepper Project: Capsicum
Created as a submission for the Pepper Project.

I wanted to do something a little different, but I hope the 100 peppers and 1 pepper blossom I included makes up for the departure from the typical Pepper style.

Capsicum

According to Jay it's still a go for the party, so I'll ask him. :)

Yay, thanks Dima! Michael and I were watching Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and there was a Russian dude named Dmitry that others called "Dima" and we were like "Wow, we didn't know that was a common nickname.."

I'm as common as they come :).

Well it's common where I come from, it's not so common in the states. It's basically what MIKE is to MICHAEL. Or ROB to ROBERT.

Or DICK to RICHARD.

Which I never understood. How exactly does THAT one work?

I have no clue! Or.. "Hank" to "Henry". Did you know "Alice" is a diminuitive for "Adelaide"? How does THAT work? o.O

WTF is an Adelaide? Is that a form of Lemonade? Or a GATORADE of some kind?

How do you even SAY that?

It's apparently French (I think it'd be pronounced like Gatorade, but with a French accent. e.e), and "Alice" is what the English took to calling it instead? Crazy English. Only they can turn "Richard" into "Dick" and "Michael" into "Mitch".

Michael = Mitch?

Now that's just bullshit.

Hey, go ask Michael about it. LOL When I go visit him, almost everyone except his family calls him "Mitch". And I just look befuddled. Also his Australian BFF, Mitch, likes introducing them as "Mitch & Mitch" cause they're total butt-buddies.

HOLY CRAP OMG.

That is 70 layers of awesome.

I have a pepper painting too, I guess that is a default still life for painting students. XD

Thanks! XD

I've never actually painted a real pepper before! :O Do you have any old art on your site? I only did still lifes of like.. this back in high school. lol

Yikes, it's painful to look at old art sometimes.

Beeeeaaauutiful!
(Ha... I'm amused by the red pepper light decroations :P)

This should not doubt make it to the final cut! I cannot see how it cannot. If this doesn't make the cut than it proves me right that they have no taste in how "women" should also be portrayed, besides the boobage action.

Thank you! :) My Sophomore year roommates used to have chili pepper lights in the kitchen, and I always thought they were really tacky. lol But I thought it would be perfect for this piece if I could make it non-tacky.

Yay, I hope so! I mean, there's only so many times you can see a busty mecha-chick.

I always like when you manage to use red lighting in your pictures. It's a weird effect in reality and I imagine it's even stranger to paint or illustrate.

Thanks! I adore lighting, especially in theatre, cinema, and concerts. :) When I used to attend rock concerts a lot more often, a lot of the photography I did there would be for the lighting reference. XD
